Consent and Liability Waiver 

I, as parent/guardian/player registering my child/myself and by filling in this form without signature, hereby give my consent for my child/myself to participate in Durbanville Cricket Club's (collectively, the "Club") training programmes and matches.

I understand that the training programmes and matches involve physical activity, and that there is a risk of injury or harm associated with participating in such activities. I acknowledge that it is my responsibility to ensure that my child/myself is in good physical health and able to participate in the training programme and matches.

I agree that the Club and its coaches, employees, agents, and representatives will not be liable for any injury, loss, damage, or expense (including legal fees) that my child may suffer or incur as a result of participating in the training programmes or games, except to the extent that such injury, loss, damage, or expense is caused by the Club's gross negligence or willful misconduct.

I hereby release and indemnify the Club from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, or proceedings of any kind that may be made or brought by my child/myself, or any third party against the Club arising from, or in connection with my child's/my participation in the training programmes and matches.

I have read and understood this consent and liability waiver form, and I agree to be bound by its terms.

Social Media 

By registering as a player of Durbanville Cricket Club, you hereby give consent for photographs and videos of you/your child to be used on our website and social media pages for marketing purposes. You have the right to revoke this consent at any time by contacting us. We will not share any identifiable information about you/your child on social media without your express consent. The photographs and videos will not be sold or used for any other purpose than marketing for our cricket club and showcasing your child achievements online. In compliance with the South African Protection of Personal Information Act (POPI) and the Children's Act, we will obtain written consent from parents or legal guardians before using any photographs or videos of children for commercial purposes. We also undertake to remove any content featuring you/your child upon request of you/the child's parent or legal guardian.

2. 1st Division Side: Ideal for high school players, social players, or those who can't commit to playing every game. This team serves as a stepping stone to the Premier League and provides a platform for development and enjoyment of the game in a more flexible environment.

Additionally, we are thrilled to launch a junior girls' team, creating a pioneering three-tier system for women's cricket at Durbanville Cricket Club—an achievement unmatched by any other club in the Western Cape. By joining us, you become part of a legacy of groundbreakers, future leaders, stars, and even future veterans of women's cricket.

Women's cricket is still in its developmental phases, and we are committed to actively fostering its growth at Durbanville Cricket Club. We believe in the potential of every player, and together, we are shaping the future of the sport.
